Scope: Originally funded as a project to provide covered stalls for the Bellingham Farmer's Market, a community group approached the city with a vision to create a community space that honored the train depot that used to be on the site. The community group hired the architect, raised money to purchase the steel that was recycled from the Skagit River Bridge which added timeless character, and found sponsors for the clock, turnip wind vane, and the north shed.

Project: Oak Street Pump Station Upgrade
Owner: City of Bellingham Role: Project Manager for local agency Type: Wastewater Scope: Double capacity of pump station while in constant operation including new wet well, pumps, VFDs, generators and force main. Lift station serves about 60 percent of Bellingham residents. Involved extensive coordination with BNSF, NW Clean Air Agency and Wastewater Plant. |
Project: Birch Bay Drive
Owner: Whatcom County Role: Project Manager for local agency Type: Street Scope: Widen shoulder both sides of street for 4.5 miles. Involved coordination with over 250 residents and mitigation for lost parking in various areas. State permits needed for shoreline, cultural resources. |
Project: H Street Plaza
Owner: City of Blaine Role: Project Manager for local agency Type: Street Scope: Project included replacement of failing pavers with structural fill, stamped concrete and construction of two seating walls that include the pavers dedicated in the original construction as a fundraiser for the arts. Plaza includes crab pot fishing tree and covered seating area for local oyster restaurant. |
